Cookie policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies we use on uptechture.com and how you control them. We only set analytics and marketing cookies if you accept them, and rejecting them is as easy as accepting.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the site work, remember your choices or show how visitors use it. Similar technologies, such as tracking pixels and browser storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy, “cookies” covers them too.
The lists below name the provider responsible for each cookie, what it does and how long it lasts. Durations are the maximums published by each provider and may change. Your browser shows the exact expiry date of every cookie it stores.
How we ask for your consent
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks for your choice. “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”. Until you accept, we only set essential cookies.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. It tells Google’s tags whether you have given consent. Without your consent, they do not set analytics or advertising cookies.
Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for the site to work and to keep it secure, so they do not need your consent. You can still block them in your browser, but some parts of the site may then not work.
- cc_cookie (UPTECHTURE): stores your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. Duration: about 6 months.
- __cf_bm (Cloudflare): tells people and bots apart to protect the site from harmful bot traffic. Duration: 30 minutes.
- cf_clearance (Cloudflare Turnstile, only if we use Turnstile): records that your browser passed the bot check. Duration: set by Cloudflare.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are useful and where people get stuck, so we can improve it. They are only set after you accept analytics cookies.
- _ga (Google Analytics 4, Google): tells visitors apart with a random ID. Duration: up to 2 years.
- _ga_<id> (Google Analytics 4, Google): keeps track of your current visit (session). Duration: up to 2 years.
- _clck (Microsoft Clarity, Microsoft): stores a random ID and your Clarity settings, so visits from the same browser can be linked. Duration: 1 year.
- _clsk (Microsoft Clarity, Microsoft): links the pages you view into one visit, for heatmaps and session recordings. Duration: 1 day.
- CLID (Microsoft Clarity, Microsoft, set on clarity.ms): recognises the same browser across websites that use Clarity. Duration: 1 year.
- MUID (Microsoft, set on bing.com): a Microsoft browser ID that Clarity uses to recognise the same browser. Duration: 1 year.
Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
The LinkedIn Insight Tag helps us measure the results of our LinkedIn advertising and show our ads on LinkedIn to people who visited our site. It only sets these cookies after you accept marketing cookies:
- li_sugr (LinkedIn): helps LinkedIn recognise the same browser across visits. Duration: 90 days.
- bcookie (LinkedIn): identifies your browser to LinkedIn, also to detect abuse. Duration: 1 year.
- lidc (LinkedIn): helps LinkedIn route requests to the right data centre. Duration: 24 hours.
- UserMatchHistory (LinkedIn): syncs LinkedIn advertising IDs, so ads and their results can be measured. Duration: 30 days.
- AnalyticsSyncHistory (LinkedIn): records when LinkedIn last synced its analytics data. Duration: 30 days.
LinkedIn may link this information to your LinkedIn account. LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies to how it uses the data on its platform.
What we do not do
- We do not set analytics or marketing cookies before you give your consent.
- We do not load fonts from Google Fonts or other external font services. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.
- We do not use cookies to sell your data.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If you withdraw consent, we stop setting analytics and marketing cookies. Cookies that are already stored may stay in your browser until they expire, or until you delete them in your browser settings.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Security”. You can also use a private window, which deletes its cookies when you close it.
If you block all cookies, most of the site will still work, but we cannot remember your cookie choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we add, remove or change cookies. The date on this page shows when it was last updated. Any new analytics or marketing cookie will only be set after you give your consent.
